"Sake and Travel"

Episode 8, Yoichiro Shimizu / Tourism & Event Consultant, Special Advisor of the Inbound Tourism Research Institute

As a lover of alcohol, I have traveled to more than 35 countries around the world and throughout Japan for many years working for JTB, and sake is the best for me. A few years ago in the winter, I visited Aizu-Wakamatsu and enjoyed the "Esoroku Festival." The snow was deep and I was cold to the bone, but the warmth of the sake I drank with my old friends at a restaurant near Aizu-Tsuruga Castle was exceptional.
This time, receiving Gazan, I was reminded once again of the emotions I felt in Aizu.
It has a mellow, unpretentious flavor, making it the perfect accompaniment for reminiscing on old times with close friends.
That's right, I'll send this Junmai Daiginjo Gazan to a friend in Aizu.
And sharing this sake together in Aizu is one of life's greatest joys.
